B2 (Independent use of language good intermediate level) – Can understand the main ideas of complex texts on concrete and abstract topics; also understands technical discussions in his own special field. Can communicate so spontaneously and fluently that a normal conversation with native speakers is easily possible without great effort on either side.
C1 (Proficient Use – Intermediate) – Can understand a wide range of demanding, longer texts, including implicit meaning. Can express him/herself spontaneously and fluently without often having to search for words clearly.
C2 (Proficient use of language – excellent knowledge) – Can understand with ease practically everything he/she reads or hears. Can summarize information from a variety of written and oral sources, reproducing reasons and explanations in a coherent presentation.
